Nola is available in my Etsy Shop!

Fan Art (sort of) and Dinosaurs!

I can’t REALLY call this “fan art” because I encouraged it and well, there is no comic to be a fan of yet! But I absolutely LOVE it when people draw my characters. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! So here are a couple of lovely drawings from lovely people that I want to share!

My awesome friend Laura drew this beautiful watercolor of Nahia and Hodei for me. I love their clothes!

And I recieved this drawing of Hodei from the talented Tim Carpenter for Nenimo’s Secret Santa Art Swap.

In other news, I’m resolving to make and list at least one new Nonesuch doll every week! I will be listing them on Wednesdays. Here are three new dolls from the past two weeks. Dinosaurs!!

2010

Hello everyone!!

I’ve given my website a tiny make over. I overall tweaked things here and there. The biggest (and probably only) difference you’ll notice is the Artwork page. It was starting to look too sparse so I consolidated everything together. I think it looks a lot better now! And wow! That’s four years of artwork on one page! I hope you can really see how much I’ve grown. :-) For those of you who haven’t been following my LiveJournal, there are a few new pieces of artwork in the CG section.

As for news, I don’t have much to report. I’m starting to gather things together for MoCCA which includes finishing and printing Vezere Valley Venture and re-printing Moonstruck (which I’m actually really excited about!). I have a lot of “behind the scenes” work to do. I will make an announcement when Vezere Valley Venture is updated with the final pages for those of you waiting for me to complete it.

I would like to get back into a regular updating schedule. However, things are very hectic right now and don’t seem to be letting up anytime soon. I will try to post the occasional sketch and blog the occasional thought, but I might not be able to get back into a regular schedule for another couple of months yet. But never fear! I am alive, I’m creating, I’m writing my graphic novel, and all around feeling pretty good about 2010 so far.

It’s probably safe to post this now. I participated in a Secret Santa art swap and this is what I sent out earlier this month. I haven’t received anything yet, but I am still holding on to the hope that I will!

Arts!

I haven’t been drawing a lot lately. It makes me scared to even touch pencil to paper. But here’s a doodle I spat out last night that came out rather decent!

Getting this character to look the way I want him to is so incredibly frustrating. But I think I’m getting close! He’s supposed to be in his early teens and I tend to draw him looking much older. Anyway, enjoy!
