Let’s Start With Photos!

September 30th, 2009 | Posted by Megan in Blog - (0 Comments)

I’ve started uploading my photos from France to a Flickr account! I have over 700 photos to weed through and edit so it will take me awhile to get them all up, but here is the first batch! (Click the photo below to go to the set.) I’ll let you know when I add more photos to the set.

I also kept a sketch journal while I was there! I had a lot to draw and a lot to say so it’s actually not finished yet… (Drawing 2 to 3 pages a day was hard to keep up with!) I will start uploading it to the Comics section of my website sometime early next week. So keep an eye out for it!

Yay! :-D

Another Cutie!

Aiden the red fox! He and his friends are available in my Etsy Shop!

I’m working on a tiger next! But I also have to get cracking on my sketch journal. I haven’t decided if I’m just going to bring the sketchbook that’s been kicking around my room for two months or if I’m going to make a sloppy one last minute with bristol and watercolor paper in it… Hmmm…

Elf, Zebra, Panda, FRANCE!

This took forever! But I like how it came out. I hope you like it, Kyr! :-D

Also, I made this zebra while ago! Her name is Zenora.

And this red panda with a strawberry. She was a custom order.

I leave for France on Saturday!! I’m getting really nervous/excited! I will be keeping a sketch journal that I will share with you when I return. Yay!

Well, they’re finally up for sale in my Etsy shop! Hooray!

The delay was over the seal for my new Certificates of Authenticity. I settled on heat embossing for the method, but the first rubber stamp I had made for me was a bust. It was clear and the material it was made of did not hold ink well. So after a bit of indecision, I decided to buy another rubber stamp in red rubber. I also edited my design a bit to make the lines thicker. The result? A GORGEOUS red rubber stamp that does EXACTLY what it’s supposed to do! :-D My seals are now awesome and shiny gold! Here is a photo of one of my display boxes that I’m using for an example:

Also, this means that all my older Tiny Nonesuch dolls are now ON SALE! Double Hooray!

Moon Bunnies

For Marcy, the creator of MoonBuns! :-D

Mommy MoonBun tells Baby MoonBun the story of the Moon Bunny who lives on the moon and pounds rice to make yummy rice cakes.

The texture of the sky was achieved by sprinkling salt over the sky when it was still wet and then allowing it to dry throughly.

To those still waiting on your commissions, not to worry! I am hard at work on them.

Mosi the Meetkat, Among Other Things

Mosi is a good little meerkat! He looks out for danger to protect his mob!

I have been working on a bunch of art commissions (you know who you are!). I will be posting them as I finish them.

Things have been really hectic lately. I’ve been sewing a lot because sewing keeps me sane! Admittedly, I have put my comics on the back burner for now. Trust me, it’s the last thing I want to do! But until things calm down, it’s necessary. The plan is to pick up momentum on my comics after my trip to France next month. So you’ll have to put up with my cute little plush dolls for a little longer. ;-)

Sea Hawk (Custom)

A tiny Nonesuch commission I just finished!

The NEW tiny Nonesuch design! They are now 10% bigger, have string jointed limbs, and are as cute as ever! I’m really excited about these updates and can’t wait to make more dolls like this!

Kitty-Face Pillow!

My new product! Pillows! This is Kitty-Face. I’m also working on Fox-Face, Owl-Face, and Panda-face!

I really love sewing! It’s almost zen.

As for comics, I haven’t been drawing much lately. :-( But I hope to work on that and start cranking some stuff out soon. I have a 30 pager in the works and of course as soon as I’m home from France there will be much more momentum on my graphic novel. So, stay tuned!
